Expanded Payment Options Drive Cross-Border Growth as 35% of Dash to Cart Merchants Sell Beyond Domestic Markets
Singapore-based seller-first commerce platform says expanded payment gateway support is helping more SMEs reach customers outside their home countries.
Singapore, 5 May 2026 — Singapore-based Dash to Cart, a seller-first commerce platform built for entrepreneurs and small businesses, today announced that 35% of merchants on its platform have generated sales beyond their domestic markets, following expanded payment gateway support and broader access to local and global payment methods.
The company said the trend signals growing cross-border ambitions among SMEs, as smaller businesses increasingly look beyond their home markets to reach customers internationally. The milestone follows recent enhancements to Dash to Cart’s payments infrastructure, including broader support for multiple payment methods designed to help merchants serve customers with greater flexibility at checkout, including local and international payment options powered through Stripe.

Dash to Cart said it has supported the launch of more than 1,000 stores across Singapore and Malaysia, with merchants using the platform to build independent storefronts, manage sales, and access integrated tools designed to support digital growth.
Payment flexibility supporting cross-border opportunities
While cross-border commerce has traditionally been associated with larger businesses, Dash to Cart said smaller merchants are increasingly participating in international selling, driven in part by improved access to payment infrastructure, social commerce, and direct-to-consumer digital channels.

The company believes that broader payment options can play an important role in reducing checkout friction, improving conversion rates, and supporting merchant expansion into new markets.
“We are seeing stronger signals that payment flexibility is becoming an important enabler of cross-border growth for smaller businesses,” said Soon Koon, Founder of Dash to Cart.
“The fact that 35% of merchants on our platform have generated sales beyond their domestic markets suggests many SMEs are thinking beyond local demand and exploring international opportunities earlier than before.”
Dash to Cart combines independent storefronts, AI-powered tools, integrated payments, abandoned cart recovery, analytics and seller growth features in a single platform designed to help entrepreneurs simplify operations and grow more efficiently.

Supporting the next phase of SME digital commerce
As Southeast Asia’s digital economy continues to evolve, Dash to Cart said it sees
growing demand for commerce infrastructure that gives smaller businesses greater
control over how they sell, manage customers, and expand across borders.
The company plans to continue strengthening its platform capabilities while supporting merchants in Singapore and Malaysia, and in future regional markets, including the Philippines and Indonesia.
Dash to Cart said it believes seller-owned commerce and cross-border digital selling will become increasingly important growth drivers for SMEs in the years ahead.
